This policy explains how CaptionKite handles information when you use this website.

Your media files

Files selected in the caption tool are decoded and processed within your browser. They are not uploaded to CaptionKite, and we cannot view, recover, or store them. When you paste a direct media URL, your browser requests that file from its original host; CaptionKite does not proxy or store it.

Speech-recognition models

On first use, your browser requests an AI model from Hugging Face. Your network request is therefore subject to Hugging Face's privacy practices. The model can be cached locally by your browser for future visits.

Contact messages

When you contact us, the form service processes the email address, category, subject, and details you submit so we can review and respond to your message. Do not include passwords, confidential recording links, or other sensitive information. Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

Basic technical information

Our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamps for security and reliability. We may use aggregated analytics to understand which pages are useful and diagnose failures.

Advertising and cookies

After the site is approved for advertising, Google AdSense or another advertising provider may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your location, a consent choice will be presented before non-essential advertising storage is used. Data requests

Because we do not create user accounts or receive media files, we normally have no media or profile record to provide or delete. You may contact us through the contact page about a message you previously submitted.
